The wonders of nature in Bueng Kan Province. Three Whales Rock is one of the most notable naturally occurring physical features of this region, and is gaining a lot of popularity among tourists to the extent that it is almost a symbol of tourism in Bueng Kan Province.
สิ่งมหัศจรรย์จากธรรมชาติที่จังหวัดบึงกาฬ กับวาฬยักษ์กลางป่าคือ “หินสามวาฬ” ที่นี่กำลังเป็นสถานที่เที่ยวที่กำลังได้รับความนิยมเป็นอย่างมากในหมู่นักท่องเที่ยวจนเรียกได้ว่าแทบจะเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งการท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดบึงกาฬไปแล้ว
Three Whales Rock is located in Phu Sing, Khok Kong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Bueng Kan. It’s about 24 kilometers from the city, and has an area of approximately 12,000 rai. Phu Sing forest is a mix of deciduous, dry evergreen, dipterocarp and hill evergreen forest. Phu Sing is full of groups of rocks of various shapes, as well as cliffs and caves scattered throughout the area, creating a beauty that is very inviting to tourists. The Three Whales Rocks are estimated to be over 75 million years old. In the Phu Sing forest, there are wild elephants roaming, therefore there are warning signs on the way to be careful of elephants along the way.
“หินสามวาฬ” ที่ตั้งอยู่ใน “ภูสิงห์” ต.โคกก่อง อ.เมือง จ.บึงกาฬ ห่างจากตัวเมืองบึงกาฬประมาณ 24 ก.ม. พื้นที่ป่าภูสิงห์กว่าหมื่นไร่ เป็นป่าเบญจพรรณ ป่าดิบแล้ง ป่าเต็งรัง และป่าละเมาะเขา บนภูสิงห์เต็มไปด้วยกลุ่มของก้อนหินรูปทรงต่าง ๆ หน้าผาและถ้ำ กระจายอยู่ทั่วพื้นที่เกิดเป็นความสวยงามที่ชวนให้สะกดสายตานักท่องเที่ยวทั่วไป รวมถึงหินสามวาฬที่มีลักษณะเป็นหินขนาดใหญ่ติดหน้าผาสูง ที่มีอายุกว่า 75 ล้านปีขึ้นไป ในป่าภูสิงห์จะมีช้างป่าคอยออกหากิน จึงมีป้ายเตือนข้างทางให้ระวังช้างตลอดทาง
Those who are going to go up and see the scenery above Phu Sing should contact the office at 088-536-2717 or 088-563-8852. There is a truck between 5:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to bring tourists to visit various points on Phu Sing for only 500 baht per trip, and can seat 10 people. The area above is narrow, and not suitable for driving in a personal car.

The most important tourist spot is the Three Whales Rock viewpoint. The three rocks are known locally as the family of whales because when viewed from above, they look like whales. Tourists can walk onto the father (middle rock) and mother (left rock), but not the “child” (right rock). The most beautiful view point for photographs is to stand on the Whale Father (center), from which one can take pictures and see the rock, the people and the scenery below. At the bottom of the mountain is a rubber plantation of the villagers. Looking forward, one can see far down the Mekong River, it stretches far away and you can see the mountains of Laos.
สำหรับจุดท่องเที่ยวที่เป็นไฮไลท์มากที่สุดคือ จุดชมวิวหินสามวาฬ ชาวบ้านเรียกกันว่า วาฬพ่อแม่ลูก ก้อนหินยักษ์ขนาดใหญ่สามก้อนที่มีรูปร่างเหมือนวาฬเมื่อมองลงมาจากด้านบน ซึ่งนักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินเข้าไปได้แค่ตัวพ่อ (ก้อนกลาง) และแม่ (ก้อนริมทางซ้าย) ส่วนตัวลูกนั้นยังไม่เปิดให้เข้าชม และจุดที่วิวสวยที่สุดสำหรับช่างภาพคือไปยืนอยู่ที่วาฬพ่อ (ตรงกลาง) ซึ่งสามารถถ่ายรูปที่เห็นทั้งหินตัวแม่ คน และวิวด้านล่างได้สวยงามมาก ด้านล่างของภูเขาเป็นสวนยางพาราของชาวบ้าน ส่วนด้านหน้ามองไปไกล ๆ จะเห็นแม่น้ำโขงโค้งตัวทอดยาวอยู่ไกล ๆ และสามารถมองเห็นทิวเขาของฝั่ง สปป.ลาว ได้อีกด้วย
For the other tourist attractions in Phu Sing, such as the Hermit Cave Viewpoint, the fairgrounds of Phu Sing, Elephant Head Rock, natural rock wall, Phu Sing Gate, the Heart of Phu Sing, Phu Sing viewpoint, the Hundred Ponds (natural holes in the rock in which water has collected), and from which you can also see beautiful sunset. If you want to travel to all of these places, it will take around four hours.
จุดท่องเที่ยวอื่น ๆ ในภูสิงห์ ซึ่งหากจะไปเยี่ยมชมแนะนำให้ติดต่อเจ้าหน้าที่ในการนำทาง เช่น จุดชมวิวถ้ำฤาษี ลานธรรมภูสิงห์ หินหัวช้าง กำแพงหินภูสิงห์ หินช้าง ประตูภูสิงห์ หัวใจภูสิงห์ จุดชมวิวส้างร้อยบ่อ ตรงจุดนี้ยังเป็นจุดชมวิวพระอาทิตย์ตกยามเย็นได้อย่างงดงามอีกด้วย หากอยากจะไปเที่ยวให้ครบทุกจุดก็จะใช้เวลาประมาณ 4 ชั่วโมงเลยทีเดียว
